Before updating to a new version of Premiere or identifying and resolving problems in the application, use reset options in Premiere at launch to do routine maintenance and cleanup on your system.
Learn how to reset preferences, clear cache, and disable plug-ins in Premiere.
Press and hold Command (macOS) or Ctrl (Windows) while Premiere launches to activate the reset option.
When the Reset options dialog box opens, select Clear media cache files.
