Configure an internal update server for packages
Set up an internal update server and configure fallback to Adobe servers when your internal update server is unavailable.
Adobe Update Server Setup Tool (AUSST) lets you host Creative Cloud updates on your own on-premises server. Client computers configured to use an internal update server receive updates from that server. If the server becomes unavailable, configure the bypass preference to allow updates from Adobe servers.
The fallback preference applies to the packages created through the Admin Console. Remote Update Manager doesn't support this fallback mechanism.
Set up an internal update server
Use Adobe Update Server Setup Tool (AUSST) to host Creative Cloud updates on your own server. This saves bandwidth and gives you control over when updates become available to end users.
Select Packages > Tools.
Download Adobe Update Server Setup Tool on your local machine.
Generate the override file and paste its contents into the Internal update server field.
After setting up your server, create Managed packages and select the Internal update server option to redirect updates to your configured server.
Configure fallback to Adobe servers
Sign in to the Admin Console.
Select Packages > Preferences.
Under Internal update server, select the checkbox next to Bypass your organization’s internal update server when it's unavailable.
Select Save to apply the preference.
