Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool to fix installation issues
Run the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner tool to fix installation, update, launch, sign-in, and connection issues with Creative Cloud apps on a single managed device.
About the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool
The Creative Cloud Cleaner tool removes files, folders, and registry keys that interfere with a new installation or update. It can fix most installation issues by cleaning up corrupted installations, removing or fixing corrupted files, and resolving permission issues in registry keys.
The Creative Cloud Cleaner tool doesn't uninstall applications. To uninstall an app, see Uninstall Creative Cloud products.
When to use the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool
For when to use the tool and how to prepare, including backing up sync folders and background processes to close first, see Prepare to run the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool.
Run the Cleaner tool
For current step-by-step instructions for Windows and macOS, see Download and run the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool.
Reinstall after cleanup
Once the Cleaner tool completes successfully:
- Download Creative Cloud apps, or
- Deploy a package from Admin Console. See Deploy packages.
Bulk removal across multiple devices
The Cleaner tool is designed to troubleshoot one device at a time. To remove Adobe apps from multiple devices at once, create an uninstaller package with Creative Cloud Packager and deploy it via your standard software distribution method. See Create an uninstaller package.
