Remove users and user groups from a product profile
Unassign users and user groups from product profiles to revoke access to associated apps and services.
Removing users from a product profile revokes their entitlement to the apps and services associated with that profile. This action does not remove users from your organization in the Admin Console. If a user is assigned to multiple product profiles, removing them from one profile only affects access to that specific product's apps and services.
You can remove users individually in the Admin Console or remove multiple users from a CSV file.
Before you begin
You’ll need:
- Product Profile Admin role or higher
- Access to the Adobe Admin Console
- For bulk removal: CSV file with user information
Remove users and user groups manually
Select the product profile name, and then navigate to Users.
Select the checkboxes next to the users or user groups you want to remove.
Select Remove Users.
In the confirmation dialog box, select Remove Users to confirm.
Product assignment changes may take a few minutes to complete. Users receive an email notification when they are removed from a product profile if notifications are enabled for that profile.
Remove users in bulk
Within a product profile, navigate to Users.
Select the menu icon in the upper-right corner and choose Unassign users by CSV.
In the dialog box, select Download CSV Template to download either the Current User List or the CSV Standard Template.
Open the CSV file and edit it to include only the rows for users you want to remove from this profile.
In the Unassign users by CSV dialog box, drag and drop the edited file or select Select a File to browse for it.
Select Upload to process the removal.
After the bulk operation completes, you receive an email notification. To view detailed results, navigate to the product profile's Users tab, select the menu icon, and choose Bulk Operation Results.
To move users between profiles: export the user list from the original profile, remove users from that profile, then add them to the new profile.
