Send templates for review and approval

Template owners can add review and approval workflows to ensure templates are approved before publishing, maintaining brand consistency. Learn how to send a template for review and approval in Adobe Express.

Note
  • This feature is available for Teams and Enterprise plans. 
  • review and approval workflow must be added to the template before it can be submitted for approval. Templates with review and approval workflows cannot be published unless they are approved. 

On the Adobe Express homepage, select Your stuff on the left panel.

Navigate to FilesCustom templates, and then select the template that has a review and approval workflow set.

Select Use template.

Complete your edits on the template, then select Request approval from the header.

The Request approval button becomes active once the template is edited.

Select Send.

To cancel, select Cancel request and confirm. 

Note

By cancelling a request, all feedback and review artifacts will be deleted. Select Edit to continue editing the file and pause your review. Once you're done editing, you can resubmit the file.

Once the template is sent for review, approvers receive both an email and an in-app notification. If additional feedback is provided, you can make the necessary edits and resubmit the template. Upon approval, you’ll receive a confirmation via email and in-app notification, after which publishing options will be enabled.
