You can apply default video and audio transitions to any selection of two or more clips where they touch.

Before you begin

Create a project, add media, and assemble them on the timeline. You can use the default Cross Dissolve video transition or the default Constant Power Crossfade audio transition, or you can set your own default transition.

  1. In the Timeline panel, select two or more clips by drawing a marquee over them.
  2. Select Sequence > Apply Default Transitions to Selection.
Note:

The placement of the transition does not depend on the current time indicator's position or whether the clips lie on targeted tracks. The default transitions are not applied where a selected clip touches a non-selected clip.

Result

Default transitions between clips are applied in Premiere Pro. Both the default audio and video transitions are applied to any of the clips touching each other.
