Learn how to import reviewers’ comments as markers on your timeline when collaborating using Frame.io.

Before you begin

You need to link your sequence with the Frame.io video to import comments. This is done automatically if you upload your sequence through the extension, but you can also link a video to your sequence manually.

  1. In the Frame.io panel, double-click a clip to open the player. Available review comments are displayed under the play bar.
  2. Select a comment to jump to the video frame where it was placed.
The Link Playheads button highlighted with the reviewers' comments displayed under the timeline in the Frame.io panel.
Use the Link Playheads option to display the reviewers' comments in the Frame.io panel.

Note:

To navigate to a video frame with a comment, apart from the Show comments option in the Frame.io panel, you can use the Link Playheads option under the player too.

  1. Once the video is linked, a purple badge is shown on the clip, indicating it is linked to the sequence.
A purple badge on the clip in the Frame.io panel means that it is linked to the sequence.

  1. Once the sequences are linked, select the Show comments option. Select Download comments, and then select Import Comments.

The purple badge under the clip thumbnail indicates it is linked to the sequence.
