Perform Ripple Edits

Use the Ripple Edit Tool to trim the edge of a clip and automatically close the gap with the clip next to it.
Before you begin
Create a project, add media, and build a sequence on the timeline.
- Select the clip you want to edit in the timeline.
- Press B on your keyboard to activate the Ripple Edit Tool.
- Select and drag the end of the clip to the left or right to shorten or lengthen the clip respectively.
Result
You’ll be able to trim the edge of a clip and automatically close the gap with the clip next to it.
Ripple Edit Tool will automatically close the gap between clips.
