Try this solution if Adobe Premiere Pro hangs on the splash screen.
Issues with plug-ins can cause Premiere Pro to hang on the splash screen while launching. Check the splash screen to see whether the app is frozen while loading a specific plugin.
If that is the case, follow these steps to remove the plug-in causing the problem.
- Check the MediaCore folder to verify whether the installed plug-ins are compatible with Premiere Pro.
- For Windows: C:\ProgramFiles\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore
- For macOS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore
- Move the plug-ins temporarily from this location to any other folder.
- Check if Premiere Pro works appropriately without the third-party plug-ins. If this resolves the issue, then update the plug-ins or contact the plug-in vendor for a compatible version.
