Error 22 causes installation failure

Learn how to resolve error code 22 "Case-sensitive drives not supported" that occurs during Adobe app installation.

Error code 22 indicates that the volume on which you are trying to install the Creative Cloud app is case-sensitive. This error usually occurs on macOS. For Enterprise or Teams admins, this error can also occur due to a processor architecture mismatch. For example, it can occur if you create a package for an Intel Mac and deploy it on an Apple Silicon M1 device. 

Solution

To fix this error, install the app onto a non-case-sensitive drive. Learn more about case-sensitive issues on macOS.

Note

If you're an Enterprise or Teams admin, ensure that the package uses the correct architecture for the machine you are installing on. Also, make sure that your machine meet the system requirements for the apps you are trying to install.
