Error code 1002 indicates that the Creative Cloud desktop app failed to update. 

Solution

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Select Retry to install the update again.

  2. Restart your device and then update the Creative Cloud desktop app.

  3. For macOS users only: 

    • Using Terminal to type in and run the command ls -ld /tmp.
    • If the result reads lrwxrwxrwt, specifically the last digit is t, then open sudo and run the command chmod -h -t /tmp.
    • Select Retry to install the update again.
  4. Uninstall the Creative Cloud desktop app.

  5. Install the Creative Cloud desktop app again.
