Error 180 causes installation failure

Learn how to resolve error code 180 "The installation language seems invalid" during Adobe app installation.

Error code 180 occurs when the Creative Cloud desktop app is set to an unsupported or invalid installation language.

The installation language is invalid

Select the Account icon in the upper right and choose Preferences.

The Account menu shows options such as Preferences, Sign out, and monthly generative credits for Gen AI features.
Access your app settings and set your preferences.

If your screen looks different, follow the instructions for the earlier version of the Creative Cloud desktop app. 

Select Language in the left sidebar of the Preferences window.

Change the default language for installing Creative Cloud apps.

Select a language from the Default install language section.

The Apps tab of the Preferences window shows options to enable or disable auto-updates, select the install location and default install language, and view older apps.
The dropdown menu displays a list of available languages for selection.

Select Done to apply your changes.

Install the app again.
