Learn how to convert Word, Excel, images, and other file formats to high-quality PDFs using Acrobat.

Microsoft Office documents

Windows

Open the document in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint

From the top menu, select the Acrobat tab.

Select Create PDF.

macOS

Open the document in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint

From the top menu, select the Acrobat tab.

Select Create PDF.

Email messages (Windows only)

Open Outlook and select the email message you want to convert to PDF.

Select the Adobe PDF tab.

Select Create PDF.

AutoCAD files (Windows only, Acrobat Pro)

Open Acrobat and then select Menu > Create > PDF from file.

In the dialog box that opens, locate and select the DWG or DXF file you want to convert.

Select Open.

Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign files

Open Acrobat and then select Menu (Window) or File (macOS) > Create PDF from file.

Select your PSD, AI, or INDD file.

Select Open.

PostScript files

Open Acrobat and then select Menu (Window) or File (macOS) > Create PDF from file.

Select your .ps or .eps file.

Select Open.

3D Files (Acrobat Pro only)

Open Acrobat and then select Menu (Window) or File (macOS) > Create PDF from file.

Select your U3D or.PRC files.

Select Open.
