Learn how to modify your e-signature in Adobe Acrobat for better accuracy and personalization.

Acrobat allows you to update or replace your e-signature when filling and signing PDFs. You can easily change the signature style, adjust its placement, or delete and add a new one.

Open a PDF document and then select E-Sign from the global bar.

From the current signature box in the left pane, select Remove your signature X.

Select Add signature.

In the dialog box that opens, type, draw, or insert an image of the signature you want to add.

A digital signature dialog box in Acrobat shows the name "Bob Smith" with options to type, draw, or upload an image signature.
To customize the signature’s appearance, select the Change style dropdown menu and select a desired style.

Select Apply and then click on the document where you want to place the signature.

To reposition your signature, hover until the plus icon appears, then drag it.

To resize, drag the blue corner handle.

Note

After you sign a PDF form, your e-signature is securely embedded, preventing easy edits or removal. This ensures the document remains unchanged.
