Copying form fields eliminates the need to repeatedly set properties like size, font, and fill order for each field. Duplicate fields inherit all the original properties, ensuring a consistent look and feel across the form. You can quickly create multiple fields with the same attributes by copying and pasting, streamlining the form creation workflow.
Copy a single form field
Right-click the field you want to copy and select Copy.
Right-click on the page and select Paste. The copied field appears on the center of the page.
Select the copied field and drag it to the desired place.
To constrain the vertical or horizontal movement as you drag, press and hold Shift.
To have the copied field automatically populate with data entered in the original field, keep the default field name.
To use the form field for unique information, rename the field.
Create multiple copies of a form field
Select All tools > Prepare a form.
Right-click the form field you want to copy and select Create Multiple Copies.
In the dialog box that appears, select Preview to see the original field and copies on the form.
Adjust the number of copies using the Copy selected fields down and Copy selected fields across options.
Use the Up, Down, Left, and Right buttons to reposition the fields.
Select OK to create the copies.
To have the copied field automatically populate with data entered in the original field, keep the default field name.
To use the form field for unique information, rename the field.
Duplicate a form field across multiple pages
Select All tools > Prepare a form.
Right-click the form field and select Duplicate Across Pages.
In the dialog box that appears, choose one of the following options:
- To replicate the field on every page, select All, then select OK.
- To replicate the field on a specific range of pages, select From, enter the start and end page numbers, then select OK.
To have the copied field automatically populate with data entered in the original field, keep the default field name.
To use the form field for unique information, rename the field.
