Manage shared files

Learn how to manage shared files in Adobe Acrobat.

Acrobat lets you manage files you've shared with others and those that have been shared with you. You can easily control access, remove sharing, or report issues with shared files from within Acrobat. The management options let you control your shared documents and ensure secure collaboration within your team or organization.

Manage files shared by you

Open Acrobat and select Shared by You under Files in the Home view.

Select the file that you want to manage. A left pane opens.

From the left pane, select any of the following options to manage the file:

  • Copy shared link: Get the shareable link for the file.
  • Unshare file: Remove all shared access to the file.
  • Delete: Permanently remove the file from your Adobe cloud storage.

Confirm the choice when prompted.

Manage files shared by others

OpenAcrobat and select Shared by others under Files in the Home view.

Select the file that you want to manage. A left pane opens.

From the left pane, select any of the following options to manage the file:

  • Copy shared link: Get the current shareable link for the file.
  • Remove me: Remove your access to the shared file.
  • Report abuse: Report any inappropriate content or usage of the file.

Confirm the choice when prompted.
