Add or modify stamps

Learn how to use, customize, and manage stamps in Adobe Acrobat to clearly communicate document status and key details to signers and reviewers.

Select All tools > View more > Add a stamp.

Select Stamp, and then select a stamp from the listed categories.

Click anywhere on the document to place the stamp.

Add a stamp to your PDF for approvals, reviews, or signatures.

Confirm that Select is selected from the Quick action toolbar and then modify the stamp as needed.

  • Move: Drag the stamp to a new location.
  • Resize: Select the stamp and then drag a corner handle.
  • Rotate: Select the stamp, hover the pointer over the handle in the middle, and drag when the rotate icon appears.
  • Delete: Right-click the stamp and select Delete.
  • Change opacity: Right-click the stamp, select Properties, and set the value for Opacity in the Appearance tab.
  • Change color: Right-click the stamp, select Properties, and select the desired color in the Appearance tab.
  • Add to favorites: Select the stamp and then select Stamp > Add Current Stamp To Favorites.
