Print large-sized documents

Last updated on Aug 16, 2025

Learn how to print large-sized documents, such as posters and banners, using the tiling feature in Adobe Acrobat.

Adobe Acrobat makes it easy to print large documents by splitting a single page into multiple sheets. Adjust the scale, set the overlap between tiles, and let Acrobat calculate the number of pages needed. Once printed, align and assemble the sheets to create your full poster or banner.

Open the document and select Print this file from the global bar.

Select Poster under the Page Sizing & Handling section in the Print dialog box.

Set the following options as needed:

  • Tile Scale: Adjust the page scaling percentage.
  • Overlap: Specify how much each tile overlaps adjacent tiles.
  • Cut marks: Add guide marks to each page for trimming overlapping areas.
  • Labels: Include the filename and page number on each tile.
  • Tile only large pages: Apply tiling only to pages larger than the paper size.
Note

The print preview updates in real time so you can verify the layout before printing.
