Learn how to create, edit, and use destinations in Adobe Acrobat to set navigation paths across PDF documents.

A destination is the end point of a link indicated by text in the Destinations panel. Destinations let you set navigation paths across a collection of PDFs. Unlike direct links to pages, adding or deleting pages within the target document doesn't affect destination links.

Create a new link destination

Select Menu > View > Show/Hide > Side panels > Destinations (Windows) or View > Show/Hide > Side Panels > Destinations (macOS).

Scroll to the desired page and adjust the view as needed.

In the Destinations panel, select Create new Destination

Enter a name for the new destination.

Edit an existing link destination

Select Destinations from the right panel.

In the list of destinations, select the destination you want to edit.

Adjust the page view as desired for the new destination location.

In the Destinations panel, select the Options menu and then select Set Destination.

From the left pane under ADD CONTENT, select More > Link > Add or edit a link
