Align form fields

Learn how to align form fields in PDF forms to make them easy to use in Adobe Acrobat.
Press Shift + Click to select two or more fields that you want to align.
In the Prepare a form pane, under ALIGN, select any of the following options:
- Left align: Aligns fields to the left edge of the leftmost selected field.
- Right align: Aligns fields to the right edge of the rightmost selected field.
- Top align: Aligns fields to the top edge of the highest selected field.
- Bottom align: Aligns fields to the bottom edge of the lowest selected field.
- Align horizontal center: Aligns fields along their horizontal center points.
- Align vertical center: Aligns fields along their vertical center points.
To center align fields on the page, use any of the following options under CENTER:
- Center horizontally: Centers fields horizontally on the page.
- Center vertically: Centers fields vertically on the page.
- Center both: Centers fields both horizontally and vertically on the page.
To adjust spacing between aligned fields, select any of the following under DISTRIBUTE:
- Distribute Vertically: Evenly spaces fields from top to bottom.
- Distribute Horizontally: Evenly spaces fields from left to right.
Select Preview to check the alignment of the form fields.
