Compress a PDF file

Windows

Select Menu > Save as Other > Reduced size PDF.

In the dialog box that opens, select the desired compatibility from the Make compatible with dropdown menu.

Select OK.

Choose a location to save the optimized PDF, enter a filename, and then select Save.

macOS

Select File > Save as Other > Reduced size PDF.

In the dialog box that opens, select the desired compatibility from the Make compatible with dropdown menu.

Select OK.

Choose a location to save the optimized PDF, enter a filename, and then select Save.

Compress multiple PDFs

Windows

Select Menu > Save as Other > Reduced size PDF.

In the dialog box that opens, select the desired compatibility from the Make compatible with dropdown menu.

Select Apply to Multiple Files.

In the Arrange documents dialog box, select Add Files or Add Open Files as needed.

Select OK

In the Output Options dialog box, specify the folder, filename and overwrite preferences.

Select OK.

 

macOS

Select File > Save as Other > Reduced size PDF.

In the dialog box that opens, select the desired compatibility from the Make compatible with dropdown menu.

Select Apply to Multiple Files.

In the Arrange documents dialog box, select Add Files or Add Open Files as needed.

Select OK.

In the Output Options dialog box, specify the folder, filename and overwrite preferences.

Select OK.
