Feature access and availability

Acrobat Express integration and image editing features, like Edit, Generate, and Stylize, are accessible to all Adobe Acrobat Pro and Standard customers, including existing users, new subscribers, and team subscriptions through Direct and VIP channels. They are also accessible to all new and existing enterprise customers except the US Government, Germany, and Japan.

Managing PDFs with Adobe Express integration

When you select  the Stylize this PDF  option in Acrobat, the open PDF will be copied and converted into a new Adobe Express file. The file will open in a new browser tab. Your original PDF will still be open and accessible in Acrobat. Changes made in Express will not automatically merge with Acrobat.  To bring your updated file back, download it from Adobe Express and upload it to Acrobat. When you select  Edit or  Generate image option, the update you make in the PDF will show up directly in Acrobat.

Turn off Adobe Express integration

Admins can turn off the integration for a user group by turning off the Adobe Express services via the product profile. Learn more about managing services in product profiles

Limitation on Fonts, Assets, and Branding Tools

Acrobat Pro and Standard users can freely generate and edit images using the Adobe Express integration. However, when you select the Stylize option, you get redirected to Adobe Express, where some fonts, brand kits, and assets may require an upgrade or enterprise admin approval.  Acrobat Studio includes full access to Adobe Express Premium, removing limitations on fonts, brand kits, and premium assets.

Feature usage and reporting

Currently, Acrobat does not provide admins with reports or analytics on how users engage with Adobe Express features.
