Delete pages in PDFs

Learn how to easily remove unwanted pages from PDFs using Acrobat on desktop.

Deleting pages allows you to remove unnecessary content from your PDF while maintaining the document's structure and interactive elements like bookmarks and links.

Before you begin

Check if the PDF is editable by going to File > Document Properties > Security to view any restrictions.

Delete pages from your PDFs in a few simple steps.

Open the PDF and select All tools > Organize pages.

The page thumbnails are displayed in the document area.

To delete individual pages, hover over the page thumbnail and then select Delete from the context menu.

To delete multiple pages, use the Pages Selected field. You can either:

  • Enter page numbers separated by commas, such as 2, 4, or a range like 6–8.
  • Or choose an option from the dropdown.
Note

You must leave at least one page in the document; deleting all pages is not allowed.

Select Delete pages from the left pane.

Select OK to confirm.

Save the PDF.
