Learn how to monitor volume levels in Adobe Premiere Pro using Audio Meters in your project.

Monitoring volume levels helps ensure your audio is clear, consistent, and free from distortion, creating a well-balanced audio mix across your project.

To begin monitoring volume levels of your clip, do the following:

  1. Select a clip in the Timeline panel.

  2. To open the Audio Meters panel, select Window > Audio Meters.

  3. Use the spacebar on your keyboard to play the clip.

  4. Check the Audio Meters as the clip plays, and adjust levels if the audio peaks into the red zone or drops too low.
