Customization options for the Project panel

Explore the different views, settings, and controls available in the Project panel.

After you obtain an asset, its name appears in the Project panel. The Project panel lists detailed information about each asset in your project. You can view and sort assets using one of the following views in the Project panel:

List View

Use the List View to view additional information about each asset. You can customize the information it displays to meet the needs of your project.

The Project panel displays the list of clips along with their metadata information, such as Frame Rate, Media Start, Media End, and more.
Use the List View in the Project panel to view clip’s metadata, such as name, frame rate, duration, media type, and more.

Icon View

Use the Icon View to view the clip in the Project panel (hover scrub). Move your cursor over an icon, and the clip plays backwards or forwards as you drag your mouse.

The Project panel displays the thumbnails of the clips in the Icon View.
Use Icon View to visually browse, preview, and organize the media clips using thumbnails in the Project panel.

Freeform View

Use the Freeform View to visually organize your assets and create storyboards with your media.

The Project panel displays the thumbnails of the clips positioned freely in the Freeform View.
Use Freeform View to drag and position the media clips freely using thumbnails in the Project panel.

To change from one view to another, select the List View icon or the Icon View icon in the panel. Alternatively, select View > List or View > Icon from the Project panel menu.
