Renaming clips in Adobe Premiere Pro helps you stay organized, especially when working with large projects or similar-looking file names from a camera. You can rename clips in the Project panel to make them easier to identify, without affecting the original media file on your drive. 

  1. Right-click (Windows) or Ctrl-click (macOS) the track's name and select Rename.

  2. Type a new name for the track, and use Enter (Windows) or Return (macOS).
