Before you begin

Create a sequence on the timeline.

  1. Select a clip on the timeline.

  2. Select Window > Effects to open the Effects panel.

  3. Browse effects by category or use the search bar to find a specific effect.

  4. Drag and drop a video clip effect onto the video clip in the timeline.
Drag and drop an audio clip effect onto the audio clip in the timeline.

    Note:

You cannot apply audio effects if Show Track Volume or Show Track Keyframes are enabled for the audio track.

  5. Play back the clip to see if the effect is applied.

  6. Customize the effect in the Effect Controls panel.

To see the effects applied on a clip, hover the mouse pointer over the effects   icon for audio and video clips in the timeline panel.

The Effects panel is open with Audio Effects highlighted. The Timeline is displayed, and the mouse hovers over an audio clip, showing its applied effects.
