Use alerts, notifications, and the Events panel in Adobe Premiere Pro to identify and troubleshoot issues with your project.

The Events panel in Premiere Pro lists warnings, error messages, and other information you can use to identify and troubleshoot problems, particularly those associated with plug-ins and other components from third-party developers.

Before you begin

Open a project in Premiere Pro and start editing.

  1. If you see any event while editing, double-click the alert icon to open the Events panel.

  2. In the Events panel, select an item in the list and select Details to learn more about the event.

  3. To clear events from the Events panel, select Clear All.

  4. Optionally, configure event notifications:

    • Select Edit > Preferences > General (Windows) or Premiere Pro > Preferences > General (macOS).
    • Uncheck Show Event Indicator to disable notification pop-ups.
    • Select OK to save the changes.
Events are color-coded for quick identification:
  • Errors   icon
  • Alerts   icon
  • Informational messages   icon

Check the Events panel regularly to stay informed about potential issues and ensure smooth project operation.
