Edit a multi-clip link in the Source Monitor

Last updated on Jun 23, 2025

Learn more about editing multi-clip links for faster multicamera workflows in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Editing a multi-clip link in the Source Monitor lets you preview, switch, and fine-tune individual camera angles before adding them to your timeline. This gives you greater flexibility and control in multicamera workflows, helping you make faster, more accurate editing decisions without disrupting your main sequence.

Before you begin:

Link the clips by selecting them and selecting Clip > Link Clips.

  1. In the Timeline panel, double-click a linked clip.

  2. Select a track from the Track menu to display a specific channel.

  3. If necessary, specify the In and Out points for a track.

    Note:

Specifying the In and Out points for a specific track applies the same amount of trimming to the In and Out points of the other linked tracks. The In and Out points of linked tracks with different durations will differ. The points of linked clips are the same only if they have identical durations.
