Transfer projects from one computer to another

Learn how to transfer Adobe Premiere Pro projects between computers by copying the project file along with its media assets.

  1. Select File > Project Manager.

  2. In the Project Manager window, under the Sequence section, check the boxes next to the sequences you wish to include. To select all, hold Shift and click any checkbox.

  3. Under Resulting Project, choose one of the following:

    • Collect Files and Copy to New Location: Creates a copy in the new location.
    • Consolidate and Transcode: Transcodes the source media using a single codec, so they are all converted to the same format. Then copied everything to a new location.

  4. Select the destination path where Project Manager saves the files you specified. Select Browse to navigate to a location other than the default.

  5. Select Calculate to calculate the disk space that the copied file occupies.
