About Effect Controls panel

Explore the panel to view, edit, and keyframe all visual and audio effects applied to a selected clip in Premiere Pro.

The Effect Controls panel shows all the effects applied to a selected clip. Each clip has built-in effects like Motion, Opacity, and Time Remapping under Video Effects and Volume under Audio Effects.

Tip:

To make effects editing easier, navigate to the Effects workspace (Window > Workspace > Effects). If it's not already visible, open the Effect Controls panel from Window > Effect Controls.

A part of the Effects Control panel is displaye, and the Show/Hide Timeline View icon is highlighted, it's used to expand the panel with a view of the timeline
Use the Show/Hide Timeline View icon to expand or collapse the timeline view.

Select the expand   icon next to an effect to show its Value and Velocity graphs. By default, the timeline view is hidden. Select the Show/Hide Timeline View option in the Effect Controls panel to show it.

Options in the panel to filter effects, control playback, and set the current time for precise editing.

When you select a clip in the Timelines, the Effect Controls panel zooms in to show its In and Out points. To view more of the timeline, deselect Pin to Clip. You can also play and loop audio clips from this panel. Use the area under the time ruler to add keyframes and adjust effect values over time.
