About Adobe Stock audio licensing and usage rights

Last updated on Jun 23, 2025

Learn about Adobe Stock audio terms of usage.

You may use Adobe Stock audio in a variety of ways with a standard or extended license – training material, online ads, wedding films, paid advertising, social media, and more.

If you plan to use Adobe Stock audio in film, broadcast, SVOD, apps, games, or point of sale, you must purchase an extended license. Adobe Stock audio must be synced with a visual or other audio (such as in a podcast). Stand-alone use is not permitted.

Minimal modifications such as pitch shifting or time compression are allowed, but not remixes, mashups, or other modifications for making a new song.

Once an audio track is licensed, you can use it in Adobe Premiere Pro or other apps such as Adobe Audition, or Adobe Premiere Rush.

Please refer to our License Terms page or our Terms of Use for details about restrictions.

If you receive a copyright claim on YouTube for a licensed Adobe Stock track, you can dispute it using the license ID provided by Adobe Stock. Find this ID in your license history at stock.adobe.com.
