Last updated on Jun 23, 2025

Learn how to publish your edited sequence in Premiere Pro to share changes with team members.

When collaborating on Team Projects in Premiere Pro, you can publish your edited sequence to share changes with other team members. When you publish your changes to a sequence, the lock on it is released. The collaborators will then see your changes and get the option to update the changes in their projects.

While publishing, you can also add a comment for the collaborators.

  1. When you are editing a sequence, the Project panel will indicate that editing is in progress, and the Publish button will be enabled.

  2. Once done editing, select Publish.

The Team Projects panel now includes new edits. You can select the 'Publish' option to make these changes available to all collaborators.
Select the Publish button so that the edited sequence and changes are shared with other team members.

  3. You can add any comments to let the other collaborators know about your changes.

The Team Projects dialog box includes new edits, a comment for the collaborators, and an option to publish so that the changes are available to all.
You can add comments to inform other collaborators about your changes.

  4. Select Publish to complete the publishing process.

Note:

Saving your project does not publish it to your collaborators. To share your changes, you must select the Publish button.

Key points to remember:

  • While you're editing a sequence, it's locked for other collaborators. They can view but not edit the sequence.
  • Saving your project does not publish changes.
  • You must use the Publish button to share your edits.
  • After publishing, the sequence is unlocked and other collaborators can update to see your changes.
  • Visual cues in the Project and Timeline panels indicate when a sequence has been updated by another user.
