Before you begin
Create a mask and apply an effect to it.

To copy just the mask, right-click the mask in the Effect Controls panel, and then select Copy.

To copy an effect with the mask, right-click the effect in the Effect Controls panel and select Copy.
Note:You can copy and paste only one mask at a time.

To paste the mask, select the effect you want to paste the mask to in the Effect Controls panel, and then select Edit > Paste.

To paste an effect, select another clip on the timeline, and then select Edit > Paste.
You can see that the mask or effect is copied to the selected clip.
