Learn how to copy and paste masks and effects from one clip to another to save time and maintain consistency across your video project.

Before you begin
  1. Select the mask, and then select Window > Effect Controls.

  2. To copy just the mask, right-click the mask in the Effect Controls panel, and then select Copy.

  3. To copy an effect with the mask, right-click the effect in the Effect Controls panel and select Copy.

    Note:

    You can copy and paste only one mask at a time.

  4. To paste the mask, select the effect you want to paste the mask to in the Effect Controls panel, and then select Edit > Paste.

  5. To paste an effect, select another clip on the timeline, and then select Edit > Paste.

    You can see that the mask or effect is copied to the selected clip.
