Align objects

Learn how to select and align multiple text and shape layers in a graphic or groups in Adobe Premiere Pro for precise positioning.

You can align your objects in the following ways:

  • By alignment type:
    • Top edge
    • Vertical center
    • Bottom edge
    • Left edge
    • Horizontal center
    • Right edge
  • By alignment reference:
    • To a selected object
    • To the video frame
  1. Select WindowsProperties.

  2. Right-click the text or object you want to align and choose from one of the three options:

    • Align to Video Frame: Aligns each object individually to the Program Monitor.
    • Align to Video Frame as Group: Aligns multiple selected objects as a single group to the Program Monitor.
    • Align to Selection: Aligns objects relative to a key (chief) object, such as the leftmost object for left alignment or the lowest for bottom alignment.
    The alignment options Align to Video Frame, Align to Video Frame as Group, and Align are displayed. Use these options to align selected text or shape layers.
    Align objects independently, together as one group, or based on a selected reference.
