Overview of bins

Learn how to use bins in Premiere Pro to organize media files by dividing them into groups.

Use bins

Use bins in the Project panel to organise project content in folders - similar to how you would organise them on your computer.r. Bins can contain source files, sequences, and other bins.

As your project grows, you can make new bins to contain those items. While it isn't necessary to create and use bins, especially with short-form projects, they are very useful for keeping your project files organized.

You can use bins in the following ways:

  • To store offline clips for batch capture.
  • To store main sequences and backup sequences.
  • To organize files by type, such as video, still images, and audio files.
The Media folder is highlighted in the Project panel. The Media folder can be used to store offline videos.
