Export videos for social media channels

Export your Premiere Pro projects directly to popular social media platforms with optimized settings.

Before you begin

Finish editing your video sequence.
Log in to your social media accounts.

Tip:

Use project templates designed for social media to keep your content within safe zones. In the Preset drop-down menu, select More presets... to find recommended presets for your platform.

With its built-in social media integration, Premiere Pro allows you to export and post directly to Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and more.

  1. Launch Premiere Pro.

  2. Select the sequence you want to export in the Timelines panel.

  3. Select File > Export > Media to open the Export panel.

  4. Toggle on the social media platforms you want to publish to, under the PUBLISH section in the Export panel.

  5. For each selected social media platform, enter any additional information, such as titles, descriptions, tags, or hashtags, into the PUBLISH section.

    The Publish section is displayed with options to set the Pages, Title, and Description for the selected social media platform, along with an option to delete the local file after upload.
    Publish directly to Facebook by signing in and setting the page, title, and description.

  6. Select your export settings.

    For best results, set Format as H.264 format and Preset as Match Source - Adaptive High Bitrate.

    In the Video section, you can optionally customize your export settings by selecting a file format, frame size, and bit rate for faster upload time and better playback quality.

  7. Select Export.

Your video will be exported and automatically published to each selected social media platform with the correct specifications. You can delete the rendered file once it’s uploaded successfully.
