Learn how to change Premiere Pro appearance preferences to tailor the workspace to your editing needs.

In the Appearance pane of the Preferences dialog box, you can access the three themes and high and low contrast settings.

  1. Select Premiere Pro > Settings > Appearance (macOS) or Edit > Preferences > Appearance (Windows).

  2. Choose among Darkest, Dark, and Light.

Preferences dialog is open and the Appearance panel displays options to change the color theme and the color contrast.
Customize the look and feel with two dark modes, a light mode, and a high-contrast accessibility mode.

  3. Toggle between a high-contrast mode for improved visibility and accessibility, or a low-contrast mode to help you focus on your content.

  4. Select the settings that work best for you and select OK.
