Remove Time Remapping from a clip

Learn how to remove the Time Remapping effect from a clip and restore the clip to its original playback speed and behavior.

Follow along with any project to learn how to remove the Time Remapping effect.

  1. Open your project in Premiere Pro.

  2. In the Timeline panel, select the clip that has Time Remapping enabled.

  3. Select Window > Effect Controls to open the Effect Controls panel.

    The Effect Controls panel shows the Time Remapping effect expanded. The Toggle Animation button for Speed is turned on and it has a value of 100%.
    To remove Time Remapping from a clip, turn off the Toggle Animation button for the Time Remapping property.

  4. Expand the Time Remapping section by selecting the icon next to it.

  5. Select the Toggle Animation button next to the Speed option to turn off Time Remapping.

This action removes all existing speed keyframes and disables Time Remapping for the selected clip. The clip's duration will return to its original length.
