Delete tracks

Learn about deleting audio or video tracks in Adobe Premiere Pro.

As your project evolves, you may end up with unused audio or video tracks in your sequence. Removing these tracks helps keep your timeline clean, organized, and easier to navigate. Adobe Premiere Pro lets you quickly delete one or multiple empty tracks to streamline your workspace.

  1. Select SequenceDelete Track.

  2. In the Delete Tracks dialog box, check the box for each type of track you want to delete.

    The Delete Tracks dialog box in Adobe Premiere Pro shows options to delete all empty video and audio tracks or specific selected tracks.
    Use the Delete Tracks dialog box to remove unused audio or video tracks from your sequence.

  3. For each checked item, specify which tracks you want to delete in its menu and select OK.
