Learn how to add audio transitions in Adobe Premiere Pro.

  1. Expand the audio track vertically in the Timeline panel.

  2. With visual fade handles on audio clips, simply click and drag to create a variety of custom fades.

Interactive fade handles on the edges of clips can be dragged to create audio fades.

Tip:

Hold the option key while dragging to constrain the adjustment to only one axis — up-down for slope or left-right for duration.

You can hold the shift key to change one side for the crossfade effect. You can also hold the option key and drag it left or right to change the curve or the duration.
